ABOUT US

Quality Reputable Breeder, Troutman, NC

julia castillo

She has owned poodles for 45 years and has bred them for the last 10 years (ptpoodles.com). She knows poodles! Her grandmother was a poodle breeder, it's a family thing. Poodles are her passion, but goldendoodles have stolen her heart. She makes sure all our dames and sires have the health clearances needed for Parfait Mischen Goldendoodles to be blue member breeders of GANA.  When you contact us, she is the one that you will be speaking with through phone calls and emails.  If you have questions regarding our puppies, dames, program, or company; she will be happy to help! She is the attending nurse to the dames when your puppy is born.  Julia has an amazing gift for paring puppies with the perfect families. She will use the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test to help her determine adult temperaments once your puppy reaches 49 days old.  During puppy selection day, Julia will be the one you will work closely with to make sure that you get your perfect match.

megan CASTILLO

Megan grew up with English crème golden retrievers, she knows goldens! She maintains the facilities and makes sure the barn stays clean and orders supplies.  She researches all supplies used in our nursery and main barn. We only use what we believe is the best for our pups and her research makes that possible. Megan also makes sure each pup has been, micro-chipped, dewormed, and vaccinated. She helps the pups wean, begins the first feedings and introduces the pups to solids.  She  begins a house-training routine with them and crate trains at night.  She also photographs the puppies every two weeks so you can monitor your puppy's progress. She takes your puppy to its litter check up. On the greatly anticipated puppy pick up day, Megan will brief you on your puppy's care and daily routine.

OUR PROMISE

Each puppy that comes from Parfait Mischen Goldendoodles will have the love, care, and training as our very own.  At three days old, their dew claws are removed.  They are wormed regularly (every two weeks) At 6 weeks of age their life changes dramatically.  They have their first set of puppy shots, receive their microchip, and begin their socialization.  At 7 weeks old, they are taken to the vet for their final health examination.  Our puppies also have a standard 2 yr genetic health guarantee and if you choose to use NuVet we will extend the guarantee for an additional 2 years.  We believe that highly in the product.

We hope that you have learned a little more about us and we hope that you will visit our Available Puppies page to choose your next family member.  We look forward to getting to know more about you, please use our contact us page to begin the adoption process.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE COAT TYPES, SHEDDING, OR ADULT LOOKS WHEN YOU ADOPT A PUPPY.

We have carefully chosen our parent dogs for temperament and health. Both the Poodle and the Golden Retriever are highly social and love to be with people They have the loyalty and happy go lucky temperaments of the golden, and the highly intuitive, super intelligence of the poodle. Both breeds bring wonderful traits to the goldendoodle. This makes the goldendoodle an excellent pet choice for families with children and as service dogs for the handicap or as emotional support and therapy dogs.  The goldendoodle is a cross bred which means currently they do not have a standard look but is also means that they have a very healthy genetic code.

First Generation Goldendoodle ( F1 Goldendoodle)

Golden Retriever (50%) X Poodle (50%)

F1 goldendoodles shed less than a golden retriever and when they do shed, they tend to shed in “clumps”. This coat needs to be brushed quite often and will need grooming every 6 weeks.  We love the hybrid vigor that this generation offers and we are thrilled to have this generation as the foundation to our breeding program.

What is an F1b Goldendoodle?

F1 Goldendoodle (25%) X Poodle (75%)

F1b goldendoodles will be our primary focus in the upcoming years. F1b Goldendoodles are a 25/75 cross between an F1 Goldendoodle and a Poodle. The paring of an F1 Goldendoodle X Poodle is what give you 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle. They are a special first generation doodle. This coat is very much like the poodle. F1B goldendoodle coats range from the soft curls to the straight hair. This generation’s coat is best for allergy suffers. They shed significantly less than an F1, but they too can shed.  It's all about their genetics the straighter the coat, the  more retriever and therefore straighter ones are more prone to shedding.

F1b goldendoodles have more poodle in their blood lines (75%) and therefore it makes them very allergy friendly. This coat needs to be brushed quite often and will need grooming approximately every 6 weeks. The F1b is our main focus in our breeding program. We appreciate the coat quality and predicabilty of appearance.  It is our opinion, that if the goldendoodle ever becomes recognized by a reputable kennel club, the F1b will be the gene pool in which the breed standard will be acquired.

What is a F1bb Goldendoodle?

F1b Goldendoodle (12.5%) X Poodle (87.5%)

An F1bb Goldendoodle is a F1b Goldendoodle bred back to a Poodle. This would make it 87.5% Poodle and 12.5% Golden Retriever. This is be a very good breeding for somebody with severe allergies. The coat on these puppies would be curlier than a first generation (50/50) Goldendoodle, but very similar to an F1b (75/25). Regular grooming is required and is typical of what an F1b goldendoodle would need, clipped every 4-8 weeks depending on how you want them to look

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE COAT TYPES, SHEDDING, OR ADULT LOOKS WHEN YOU ADOPT A PUPPY

What is a Multi-Gen Goldendoodle?

F1b (75% poodle 25% golden retriever X F1b Goldendoodle (75% poodle 25% golden retriever)

Our Multi-Gens are produced from this combination of breeding: "F1B X F1B" This breeding can be low to moderate shedders and many are allergy friendly. A puppy with a plush wavy or curly coat is advised and encouraged as the allergy sufferers puppy of choice. A straighter coat has a higher rate of shedding and are not as hypoallergenic.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE COAT TYPES, SHEDDING, OR ADULT LOOKS WHEN YOU ADOPT A PUPPY.

What is an F2 Goldendoodle?

F2 Goldendoodles are an F1 Goldendoodle X F1 Goldendoodle. This breeding gives a very unpredictable mix for the coat and so we have decided not to do this breeding.

*All pictures are either puppies we produced or our breeding dogs (now and past).
